Thank you so much for checking my page out! My name is Elissa and I am the founder and coach of Lakebody Bootcamp located in beautiful Lake Country, BC 🇨🇦. My love for fitness started when a knee injury in ballet forced me to quit competitive dance. Through my therapy and rehabilitation I developed a connection to helping others through fitness. In 2010 I got my certification through American Council and Exercise.. I started my fitness journey working for a woman’s only gym in Calgary, AB. I also had the opportunity to personal train on private yachts throughout the Caribbean and Europe which also brought me to my first company FitYachtie Bootcamp out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. When I returned home I got the opportunity to work for a company called Fitbody bootcamp coaching group fitness. I happily worked for this chain for over four years starting off in Calgary and then in Kelowna, BC. I loved the energy, support and community of the Fitbody family and it won me over right away. I enjoyed coaching, it brought such a deeper meaning by connecting with members on a more personal level all while being a part of their fitness journeys. This led me to the decision to open my own small group fitness gym called Lakebody Bootcamp in October of 2019! The past three years have brought many challenges but throughout the pandemic I have persevered and taken every challenge as a way to grow and build a strong community of both men and woman and feel so grateful to do what I love to do! I am excited in staying strong in 2024 and meeting some new awesome souls through Lakebody bootcamp
My Vision As a fitness enthusiast and influencer I hope to build a community of strong woman and men through strength and conditioning workouts that will engage the mind body and soul. By building a family through fitness, I hope to create a space that members feel excited to be a part of. Offering small classes of six or less will provide a more exclusive and one on one training atmosphere, while also eliminating the intimidation of larger classes and groups. All fitness levels welcomed!
The Work
The workout will consist of a 40 minute interval training class focusing on strength and conditioning and active rest training. This training is formulated to burn up to twice the fat and calories then traditional workouts burn in only half the time. This creates what’s called the afterburn effect up to 3-4 hours after the workout, continuing that fat burning process after the workout. With a variety of equipment and movements the workouts will be challenging and fun while engaging multiple muscle groups through different movements and exercises. Because classes are short I do recommend signing up for 3 min/week to get the most benefit out of this style of training. Complimentary two month check ins for fitness test, measurements and pictures is also available upon request for my clients that book 3 or more classes a week! This is a great way to track your progress throughout your fitness journey with me. 💪👊
